The app makes it possible to combine all communication threads into a single convenient tool for volunteers, organizers and UK citizens, keeping them well-informed during every stage of a search in order to find missing animals faster, more easily and most efficiently. The prototype of the app was demoed on the “Surprise Surprise” show, and in about 3 months the studio finished the whole app with all user stories covered.
Harvey’s Army only had a few Facebook groups where volunteers chatted and sent each other messages in order to find missing animals. The structure was cluttered, and finding useful information was a real challenge.
After listening to the volunteers chat on Facebook in stealth mode, we suggested dividing the list of animals into Lost and Found categories, adding filtering, and making quick buttons for the most frequent use cases.
The new UI, which is up-to-date with the latest iOS trends and guidelines, allows a person to report a lost or found pet in just a few seconds, quickly search by applying filter tags, and allows volunteers to see each other on a map.
